Petermann Digital - Website Redesign and Static Migration

Challenge

After years on a dynamic website stack, I wanted to improve performance, security, and maintainability, while reducing external dependencies.

Approach

I migrated the entire site to Hugo and modernized the visual system at the same time:

• static architecture without database or login surface
• easier hosting on standard web space or CDN
• improved accessibility, typography, and responsive behavior
• full Git-based versioning of content and layout
• custom minimalist Go form server that forwards requests directly into Redmine via API
