A contract laboratory for chemical and microbiological analysis needed a replacement for an end-of-life proprietary invoicing product.
After process analysis, it became clear that a standard invoicing package would overlap heavily with both LIMS and accounting systems. I implemented a lightweight invoicing module directly in the LIMS, covering the full commercial flow from quote to invoice.
Embedding invoicing in the LIMS enabled tighter process integration and prepared the ground for further business-process automation.
