As part of a paperless-office initiative, incoming documents had to be scanned and assigned to existing jobs in the document management system, with scanning and assignment decoupled in time and location.
I configured network-capable scanners to route scans into dedicated folders and implemented QR-code label generation in the DMS. A microservice then detects QR codes in incoming PDFs, optionally splits files, and assigns documents to the right context automatically.
The solution removes workstation bottlenecks, reduces waiting time, and makes documents instantly accessible.
